Itinerary
Day 1, 2 & 3 | Sussi & Chuma Lodge, Victoria Falls
Just upstream from thundering Victoria Falls, the rustic-chic treehouses of Sussi & Chuma Lodge, an A&K Sanctuary occupy a blissfully peaceful spot on a bend in the Zambezi River, where hippos wallow and graze among the jackalberry trees. There are white-water thrills to be had on the great river; and more, much more, to discover on game walks and drives in the splendid Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park.
Day 4 & 5 | Chobe Chilwero Lodge, Kasane
A contemporary safari-chic eyrie with sweeping panoramas of the sublime spectacle of Chobe National Park known as the “Land of Giants”, due to its thriving population of Kalahari elephants. The rest of the Big Five are all present, too, in this hotspot of biodiversity and natural beauty, remarkable even by Botswana’s already sky-high standards.
Day 6 & 7 | Baines’ Lodge, Okavango Delta
Low-impact luxury meets grand-scale, elephant-rich wilderness in the planet’s largest inland river delta. The design of the lodge conjures something of the pioneer spirit, with standalone wooden suites that rise from the swaying papyrus reeds.
